Creating an English software license agreement (1hour30min) + Q&A
The English software license agreement is a contract that applies for the license of software. Software License Agreement has a different content with those of Patent License Agreement and/or Trademark License Agreement.
From the Licensor’s point, Licensor has to appropriately manage its own software license and correctly charge license fees to the licensees. From the point of licensees, in order to keep compliance requirement, they have to manage to proper usage of licensed software not only by itself but also by all its group companies, and abide by the terms and conditions of the agreement so that they do not breach the contract.
Recently, the services which are called SaaS and/or ASP, in which users who subscribed the license can use the software in the cloud server through Internet are increased. We want to be accustomed to these new business model through the understanding of English Software License Agreement. We hope many managers or operators of License Agreement in Japanese companies will join this seminar.
